Jake is a writer.  He is married to Maggie, but his marriage is in trouble and he spends much of his time having imaginary conversations with his first wife, his daughter, his sister and his psychiatrist, hoping they will help him sort out his problems.  The wildly comic and sometimes moving flashbacks played in his mind are interrupted by visitations from the actual women.  Maggie cannot stand his mind wandering off all the time and wants to separate.  Can Jake make amends?
