Remembering T. Gregory Argall

Thomas (Tom) Gregory Argall

18 March, 1967 – 28 April, 2022

Recently CTHP lost T.Gregory Argall from our theatre family.

Tom, a.k.a T. Gregory Argall was a very tall playwright. Chances are taller than you, unless you are one of the rare people taller than him.

Known as “the other Canadian playwright,” author of many, many plays which have been produced on stages around the world. His first full-length play, “A Year in the Death of Eddie Jester” won the 2002 Samuel French Inc. Canadian Playwrights Competition. Hurrah!!

When not writing, he could be found perfecting his pogo-stick skydiving technique, or juggling pine trees on the beaches of Antarctica. (Who are we kidding? He was always writing.) He also wrote novels, web comics and short stories.

Tom had a sharp wit, exceptional humour, depth of empathy and endless love for family and friends.  He will be deeply missed.
